NetWorks Rhode Island and the Chazan Collection Exhibition, WaterFire Arts Center (2024) Bio:

I was born in North Carolina. My photography career began in 1991, at Pennsylvania College of Technology wherein Advertising Art was my initial focus. Needless to say, I was hooked that first semester of Photo 1, after developing my first roll of film. After running out of photo courses at Penn College, Keith Vanderlin my first photo teacher suggested RISD. I graduated with a BFA in Photography the year of 1996. Through using this medium of expression I work to transcend the boundaries of photography to fine art. I do not limit my artistic expression to one medium, but enjoy painting, woodcarving, and look forward to expanding the process as needed. Between photography, painting, and sculpture, the expression is a part of my continued journey to explore the boundaries between light and form. This is a part of my organic process, in embracing the experience of life, past, present and future.

I know Mr. Wright personally because we attended college together, but more, he is one of my dearest friends. I certainly can attest that he is one of the most diligent and disciplined men I know, and like most artists, when he is creating a body of work, his focus is laser sharp. I am most familiar with his earlier work, but it stands as foundation to his more current pieces.
