For many years, Paul Amaral of Amaral Custom Fabrications has been creating large-scale, outdoor sculpture for Claes Oldenburg, Roy Lichtenstein Foundation, Keith Haring, and others. Artist Nicole Chesney explains her attraction to the area due to this kind of support, and Drake Patten, Executive Director of The Steelyard, a creative industrial arts incubator and teaching facility which makes its’ home in a re-purposed steelyard, discuss the initiatives her organization is undertaking.
