Artist Statement

I am continually inspired by exploring far-reaching sites around our planet. My objects or artifacts, serve as personal/collective markers of our mortal position in the scheme of things. Independent study traveling within six continents has enabled me to deepen my understanding of language and vestiges of universal expressions and modes of communication, – particularly archetypes or symbols that offer deep-rooted meaning across time and culture. Discovery and recovery in the form of aesthetic data and signification allows the maker in me to articulate works of art inspired by the multiplicity of human experience and representation.
